Ashley Halloran

Ashley Halloran is a writer, producer, and writing coach born and raised in Los Angeles.

She graduated cum laude from Cornell University with a degree in English and has over a decade of experience in film and television—on both the business and creative sides of the industry. She began her career as an agent’s assistant at ICM Talent Agency, then moved into television production, working in the art department for HBO series Big Love and Hung, as well as NBC’s Up All Night

Ashley broke into television writing as a writers’ assistant on Dominion for Syfy and Guilt for Freeform. Her first staff writing job was as an Executive Story Editor on Amazon's genre anthology series Lore, based on the award-winning podcast. She later served as a Co-Producer on three seasons of Netflix’s video game adaptation Dota: Dragon’s Blood and wrote for the global franchise Magic: The Gathering—also at Netflix.

Most recently, she has expanded into film and completed a feature adaptation of Wattpad’s worldwide phenomenon She’s With Me, which has over 211 million reads.

Outside of entertainment, Ashley studied creative nonfiction at UCLA Extension and pursued her personal interest in end-of-life care by training as a Death Doula with INELDA (International End-of-Life Doula Association). This led to a special focus on coaching patients facing terminal illness to craft their legacy projects.

Ashley approaches her writing through a lens of personal exploration and loves helping her clients tap into the layers of their own experiences to bring their stories to life.
